Equip Foods is a company with one simple goal: Equip people from all walks of life, who want to eat healthily but have no time or knowledge of where to start. They create nutritionally complete, convenient, and affordable meals. It sounds like a noble cause – but do their products live up to this? I find out by going on the strictest diet I’ve ever been on over a two-week period.
Principles At Equip Foods:
There are three principals at play here: convenience, portion control, and nutritional completeness with low-calorie density. Whereas for most people, healthy eating requires planning ahead and having plenty of time in the kitchen – with Equip Foods you can simply pick something from the fridge and take it to-go.
Each week, you get a calorie budget (1800 per day) to spend on food. This is divided into five meals, meaning that each meal should only come to around 360 calories. To make sure you meet all your nutritional needs, they’ve designed the portion sizes in such a way that will give you no less than 40% of your RDA of vitamins and minerals for each type.
For macronutrients (protein/carbs/fats), there are no specific recommendations because apparently, it doesn’t matter what kind of macronutrient ratio you eat as long as the total calorie count is equal to your daily allotment. I thought this sounded odd at first but when I dug deeper into research studies, I couldn’t find any evidence that contradicted this.
As for the calorie density, everything comes in at under 500 kcal/100g. To put this into perspective, a typical bowl of cereal can easily reach 1000 kcal per 100g – so it’s not difficult to see how Equip Foods‘ plan could help you lose weight if used consistently!

Preparing Process:
The food is freeze-dried and vacuum sealed, so all you have to do is add water. I was impressed by the taste of everything – even after reconstituting it in cold water, there was no unpleasant flavour.
Their meals are 100% natural and contain no additives, artificial anything, or processed garbage. They use an innovative pre-cooking process that preserves the nutrients in the food better than any other method out there (over 70% of fresh produce is thrown away before consumption because it rots and loses its nutritional value). The ingredients come from sustainable sources and local farms.
I really liked the variety of foods that were included in my plan – there’s something for everyone! The meals are all very tasty and filling, with no blandness (which is often a problem when it comes to pre-packaged food). There’s also plenty of protein but not too much fat or carbs so I didn’t feel bloated after eating them. If you want more than just lunch/dinner then they offer snacks as well – these include dehydrated fruits/veggies mixed together into delicious combinations such as carrot cake bites.

Conclusion:
So overall, my verdict on Equip Foods is good! They provide a great range of healthy meals that are convenient, affordable, and nutritionally complete. If you’re looking for an easy way to improve your diet without too much fuss, then I would definitely recommend giving them a go. Thanks for reading!
