Combat in Arcus Gold is based on the traditional "Rock, Paper, Scissors" game mechanic. Each character has a certain type of attack that beats another specific type of attack, and vice versa. The game also features a unique elemental system which further complicates things. There are five elements in total: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Void. Each element has its own strengths and weaknesses against the other four elements. For example, Earth is strong against Wind but weak against Fire; while Water is strong against Fire but weak against Earth. Void is the most powerful element and can beat any other element, but at the same time, is also weak against any other element. Strategically placing the right elemental magic will give you a definite advantage in battle!
