Solopress was born when a casual collaboration between two print start-ups in South end created a strong trade organization. Andy Smith had set up trade with a Multilith press, and when Aron Cleric moved into the unit following door with his Solna 425 machine, the pair soon started to work together. The early a long time was characterized by difficult work, long hours, and heroic levels of multitasking by Andy and Aron. The result was that Solopress before long exceeded its unique impression.
